21 Life Lessons I Learned from my Amazing Mum
Mar 20, 2023Just celebrated Mother's Day and it's always a reflection of all forms of Mothers past, present and future. It's only with time and reflection that most of us really realize how incredible our Mothers have been; the sacrifices they make and the selflessness it takes to be in their position. Add on the juggle of work, caring, homelife, life admin and everything else, this day earns it's place in the calendar, without a doubt!
So, to acknowledge Mother's Day this year, I wanted to share 21 of the most important lessons I've learned from my amazing mum.
- I have a voice
- I am enough
- I deserve to be around the table and to speak up
- Imperfections don’t matter - be grateful for the health you have and all the gifts you have been given 🎁
- Always come from a place of integrity, calling out bad behaviour when you see it
- You can be soft, empathetic and warm and yet have the most tremendous, unflinching strength
- There is always a bright side
- Kindness is everything🙌
- Being a woman in never stops you to do anything, whilst it’s also good to share the load (and we all have our strengths!)
- Tenacity, determination and focus can be unstoppable skills to help you reach your potential 🌱
- Say yes with joy, because you never know what adventure that 'yes' may take you on
- Do a first-aid course, because you never know when you might need it
- Work hard, be a good person and the best things in life will come to you🌟
- Love your family and your friends unconditionally and support them wherever you can
- The secret to a great relationship is honest, open communication and 5 positive comments for 1 negative and lots of laughter
- The loudest one isn’t necessarily the most wise. Wisdom can be calm, quiet, and sensitive
- Trust that everything is happening, just as it should be
- Be positive, there is so much in life to be grateful for
- Keeping to the rules is good, but sometimes it’s OK (and more fun) to break them
- Superpowers come in many different forms. One of them is being a woman.
- A Mother's love never, ever ends💖
Maybe it's time to tell yours too?
Best wishes,
Caroline
